NATAKASALA SADYA

Bhagavan Krishna as the director of Jagannataka enacts this scene to teach the world that artistes must be duly honoured for the world to be profited by. For, Kavitha, vanitha and latha - poetry, woman, and creeper live, shrine and thrive with good prop only. Perhaps to vindicate this universal truth, he personally undertook this mahatkarya and built a tradition meriting applause and emulation.

Though it occurred in some centuries back, the temple is still practising and performing this ritual with great fanfare.

As is the belief, so is the tradition.
