THE STRANGE SUPPLICATION

No Aunty dear, you need not wail
Nor smothered by worries as said

I will come to your succour, 
No matter where you live, or when you call 
For anything, or for anyone 
To prove that I am ¹⁴Asrita parijata.

That Krishna, thou proved times umpteen 
But the call for help comes from men 
Only when they are confronted by forces of Satan 
In misfortune alone they realise your existence 
So, grant me interminable MISFORTUNE O Krishna, 
To feast my eyes with thy ¹⁵divyamangala rupa 
That very sight purges all impurities known and unknown 
Turns me a ¹⁶Chakora longing for the sight of the moon 
Or the lotus for the Sun, or first cry of the babe by mother 
Or communion of the ¹⁷Jivathma with the ¹⁸Paramatma.
