The
final one takes us to Yerpedu, the seat of Malayalaswamy, who held aloft the
Bharata Vedanta jyoti that lighted up the whole universe. He was a great
writer-philosopher preacher, whose yeoman service to religious literature merits
devotion of a whole glittering chapter. His master-pieces Sushka Vedantatamo
Bhaskaram' and Bhagavadgita can be placed on par with the great scriptures,
inspiring humanity down the ages. He founded a Sanskrit High School and it is
now imparting education on the model of gurukulam of Vedic times. There lies a
spring here going by the name of Kasi bugga, famous for holy water, purging of
sins addition to serving
as elixir to those hankering for divyagnana. Its holiness is akin to Ganges and
it is believed that Ganges water flowing underground reaches this place. Hence
sanctity and great craze for bath. This asram contains the samadhi of H.H.
Malayalaswamy receiving regular puja in the manner of famous Sri
Raghavendraswamy Mutt at Mantralaya. Placed far far away from the din and
bounsle, and adjacent to hillocks, amidst forest zone, it accelerates dhyana and
sadhana activities go on uninterrupted. Hence many aged persons dwelling in the
asram cottages are engaged in meditational activities. It must be a miss-not
item to be included in the itinerary list of the visitors of these holy parts,
like Tirupati and Sri Kalahasti, the world - renowned yatrasthalas for both
Vaishnavates and Saivates in particular.
