During
this 9 - days period, Mother Kanakadurga is attractively draped and
gorgeously decorated in nine enchanting forms such as Bala tripura
Sundari; Gayathri, Annapoorna, Maha lakshmi, Saraswathi, Ialitha
Tripura Sundari, Durga Devi, Mahishasura Mardani and Raja Rajewsari
Devi, each form one day. Every day is the gala day. On Vijaya Dasami
day, the splendidly adorned utsavamurthis are placed in a swan
shaped, gaily decorated boat and rowed in the Krishna river,
popularly known as Nauka Viharam. It is a star attraction and lacs
turn out to enjoy this grand Carnival.
