PENUGONDA CITY

It was bound by river Goutami on the east, Gosthani on the west, Vasishta Ganga on the north and Bay of Bengal on the south. As many as eighteen towns - Eluru, Aachanta, Ghantasala, Panchalam, Dhanadamu, Palakollu, Sivakodu, Dharmapuri, Dendaluru, Nagarvatika, Narasapuram, Visakhapattanam, Trigunitapuram, Peeikapuram, Bhimunipattanam,Veeranarayanapuram, Jagannathapuram and Kalingapattanamu were created to growing and supplying the daily necessities of the Penugonda citizens. And there lived in each chief Gotrikas-Kulaswamis who under the benign administration of Kusuma Sreshti looked ,after all activities, like agriculture, business, maintenance of law and order and all that their regions required.
