From
those exhaustive accounts, it can be deduced that the primal Vysya community
comprising 714 members called Vysya munis emerged from the holy thighs of
Brahma, and hence infinitely sacred and immaculately virtuous.
And
it is a matter of great pride and ineffable honour that they were initiated into
the 64 arts after Jataka Karma - the christening ceremony and other
indispensable acts by Apararka, the illustrious, Brahma Manasaputra at the
instance of Lord Brahma Himself in the Satya loka. What a fortune! At the age of
12, Upanayana - the ceremony of investiture of the sacred thread was duly
performed.
Then
they were endowed with the sacred rights to perform yajna and adhyayana -
sacrifice and learning together with the duties of protecting cows and attending
to the activities of buying and selling commodities for the community progress.
Later,
their wedding was solemnized with the beautiful daughters of Brahma Himself,
born from the left thigh. After this, they were sent to Bhuloka with the advice
to lead an ideal long life with the grace of Lord Siva. How enviable is their
fortune!
