     BASARA - GNANA SARASWATI AALAYAM 

Regular daily puja is carried according to agamas and they are elaborate. 

The Mother reveals in sitting posture. The august icon is about is about 4 feet in height. The eyeful decoration elevates the devotees, when they stand in front of her. The garbha-griha is quite spacious. The eyeful decoration bends heads and joins palms as soon as the visitors enter her sannidhi.

The annual festivals like Devi Navaratri celebrations, Dattatreya Jayanti and Maha Sivaratri are the star attractions here. Vasanthapachami festival too draws large crowds. A miss - not shrine of universal importance. 

It lies in the village of Basara of Muthol taluq in the district of Adilabad of Andhra Pradesh. It is accessible by bus and train.
