install a proto type icon of Ujjain Mahakali at Secunderabad to warding off
people from the. disastrous snare of epidemic. And he did. It was in 1815 with
the cooperation and liberal donations of god-fearing people, a new mandir came
up in the very same place where the present deity is giving darsan to the
people.

the clearing operation of the area, there was found a grand statue of a Female
deity No sooner was it reported, than a woman devotee there observing went into
trance and declared that it was Manikyalamma and she should be given place next
to Mahakali. Ardent bakthas deeming it a heaven-sent fortune carried out her
bidding. And hence two idols in the same garbha-griha lying side by side getting
worship regularly With the demonstration of miraculous sports of both the
adored., the strength of devotees crossed lakhs. Improvements and extensions
were made continuously with the willing cooperation of philanthropists.
