When effective administration was found lacking in due to meteoric speed of development, the State Government took over the management in 1953,and it is one of the biggest temples with good income, better management and best reputation as a temple where no prayer goes un-rewarded, nor any epidemic nears any place at here mere mention. Daily puja is offered with unparalleled devotion according to agama tenets. And among the periodical festivals, Aashada Jatara festival celebrated in July is the biggest draw and lakhs of people visit this sacred shrine and worship devoutly with Bonalu-a special feature here. Ladies carry on their heads pots decorated with flowers and auspicious things and offer them with prayers. The festival with elephant procession followed by ghatam turns spectacular and heightens the splendour of the temple and proclaims the Mother's ineffable glory to the worlds On this occasion, a special feature called 'rangam' takes place which lures unmana-gaeable crowds. A young woman devotee predicts the future events of the country and her word proved true hitherto. The festival has acquired such reputation that people from far off places in thousands visit necessitating to running of special trains and buses from several parts. Many voluntary organisations help the Police Department in several ways to make it success.

It lies near the Secunderabad Railway Station, accessible  by city bus from any point.
