  GIRNAR - AMBADEVI MANDIR

The word "Girnar" projects on our minds wild thick pathless forests infested with ferocious animals like lions, tigers and a wide assortment of wild beasts. This Ambadevi mandir is built on a high hill, and so one has to ascend nearly 6000 steps at reach the Mother's feet. Does it deter pure devotion? Would it dry up unalloyed spiritualism? Devout bhakatas and humanist philanthropists have built a grand temple atop the hill facing several ordeals realising its spiritual eminence.

Despite standing on the high eminence of Girnar hill and surrounded by thick forest, it is drawing streams of pilgrims and pious bhaktas throught the year. To relieve the fatigue of the ascending visitors, there are some rest houses on the way. Here in the temple are installed three highly venerated deities Ambadevi. Dattatreya and Gorakshanath in well-built and neatly maintained mandirs and they are receiving worship regularly. Mother Ambadevi's facial features are awe-some and strike terror in the minds of the lily levered. Her ultra rupa, though causes fear, she is extremely compassionate and fulfills the desires of the genuine bhaktas to their hearts content. Hence visitation, facing hurdles and hardships. Regular agamic worship is offered along with annual festivals.

There is a Kali mandir in the cave which is worth seeing. All visitors offer worship to this Mata also.
