 KANGRA - BAJRESWARI DEVI MANDIR

Located at the confluence of small rivers - Bener and Majhi and among low hills, this ancient town enshrines an enchanting mandir dedicated to Bajreswari Devi. It was a popular temple endowed lavishly by the princes and pious philanthropists. Its boasted of enormous wealth in the form of jewels studded with precious stones of high value. And silver ware of infinite worth, so etched its proud name on the pages of history. Regular streams of devotees visited round the year in the past from afar and enriched its spiritual glory by celebration of festivals and filled its coffers also. Unfortunately it also brought ruthless invaders whose lust for wealth and power was unquenchable and irrepressible Muhammud Ghazni invaded and emptied its vaults. And left if totally prostrated, but later devout bhaktas - replenished it gradually. The Mother readily blesses any devotee, the moment he reaches her feet with clean hands and pure hearts. The beneficiaries frequently visit the temple for mental solace and material prosperity. Daily worship is offered with elaborate rituals and the periodical festivals are conducted with great pomp and splendour.

It lies near Palampur, accessible by bys.
