FESTIVALS:
The annual Rathotsava celebrated in the month of Palguna
lures people in thousands. He autumn festival Navaratri is the star attraction
and celebrated on a grand scale. Periodical festivals like Mahalakshmi Vrata,
Maha Sivaratri, Sri Krishna Jayanthi, Vinaayaka Chathurthi, Jyesta Lakshini
Vrata, exercise great fascination and draw thousands of theists. There is a
special annual feature which is attracting several thousands called Vana Bhoja,
when a feast is given to devotees on the river bank.
It lies near Udipi accessible by road, rail and river too.
