TIRUKKOILUR - DURGA TEMPLE

Tirukkoilur, the seat of Lord Trivikrama, the fifth incarnation of Sri Mahavishnu etched its glorious name on the pages of history and occupies the most covetable place in the legends of AIwars. This famous Vaishnavate yatrasthala deemed a holy Triputi with Daivam. Kshethram and Thirtham is attracting all kinds of the pious devotees in general and Vaishnavates in particulars. Incidentally she is the sentinel kshetrapalaki of this famous shrine and is keeping guard the glory of the temple and its archamurti - Trivikrama swamy.  Elaborate prayers are offered every day and, each day is a festival day. Barren couple worshipping her revisit her sannidhi with cherub like baby in their arms. She is kamadhenu to all of her adorers.

It lies 35 km off Tiruvannamalai the world renowned Saiva kshetra accessible by bus or train.
