This
Kausiki's icon is installed on the Almora hill in a temple for due veneration.
The Pouranic places, the scenes of action are now called Kosi and Swal. The
Almora town lies between them. The hills pouranic name is Kashai parvat and it
is 12 km. off Almora, the present famous summer resort luring the affluent and
highly placed officials for relaxation and recreation. This is also called a
Sakti-Peetha of great renown. Daily agamic worship is offered and periodical
festivals draw devotees from far off places. Many foreigners realising her
boundless might and infinite compassion join the Indian bhaktas and participate
lustily in all devotional activities.

can be reached by four wheelers from Katgathan railway station.
