  BADARINATH - URVASI MANDIR

The celestial dancer Urvasi is a much adored deity by a section of people, who practice Siddhi to attain Super-natural powers. And those who crave. for earthly eminence and supremacy over mundane affairs adore her passionately. And they are blessed with such sakti by her. Hence building of separate temples for her here and there.

According to certain mythologies, this famous dancer serving Indra, the king of devas was born from the sweat of the left thigh of Bhagawan Narayana. Although those who desire to master tantric lore are visiting her shrine very often in large numbers, some out of extreme devotion for Sri Mahavishnu pay homage to the archamurti too. Its location being in the snow clad mountains, pilgrims visit only six months in a year, so there is no much expansion.

It lies near Badrinath temple, accessible by bus only. Needless to say, she deserves adulation and adoration due to her birth from the thigh of Maha Vishnu, moreover she is endowed with awe-some fantric powers to bless her votaries.

It is accessible by walk from Badarinath temple.
