  CHINTAPURI - SAKTI TEMPLE

Lying on the bank of river Kangda, this Sakti temple forms one among the three other popular and powerful Sakti temples here in this region. It is a hill temple and the road to reach the Mother's sannidhi is not well laid out and so journey to it is ardeous. As their temple's architecture is superb and the sculpture adorning the walls, towers, ceiling and mini-shrines display excellent craftsmanship and builders' refine taste, they detain the visitors long. The colourful natural scenery surrounding it has a chastening effect and relieves the fatigue of journey.

The presiding deity Sakti established for herself a great name as an instant boon giver and a sure consoler of duhkarthis without any reservation. People in huge numbers visit throughout the year. As she is equally famous and on par with Mother's Jwalamukhi at Kangda, devotees who visit those two temples invariably stop over here to avail her darsan. Regular and periodical prayer services are offered with due veneration.

It lies about 45 km. off Hoshiarpur lying between Jalandhar and Jwalamukhi accessible by bus.
