PONDICHERRY - MANAKULA VINAYAKAR TEMPLE

Once taken his seat firmly, he started blessing the devotees out of proportion, that he became so popular in a matter of years. Later devout bhaktas formed into a trust to, carry on festivals and nityanaimithika prayer services on such a spectacular way that it became a centre of pilgrimage for all Hindu devotees first and alien bhaktas later. Indeed this shrine is converted into an auspicious centre for celebration of marriages, namakarnas, Upanayanas etc. Why any enterprise begins with offering prayers to this Vighna Vinayaka in this region. He is adored as Pratyaksha daivam and asritaparijata to the people. This temple is perching at the highest place in the temple history of Pondicherry territory, and its neighborhood. It lies in the most ,sacred and busiest part of Pondicherry - adjacent to the world renowned Aravinda Asram to the left and Assembly hall to the right and in front the Bay of Bengal, roaring as it were the Vinayaka's glory to be heared to all the worlds.

As it is near the famous nerve centre of the city Pondicherry, all kinds of vehicles are available either from bus stand or railway station round the clock.
