The presiding deity is called Dandayudhapani. The image is of about four feet in height and is made of Navapashana. And is supposed to have been made by Bhoga. Hence any substance that comes into contact with it acquires miraculous powers. To availing the rare benefit, devotees offer many types of abhishekam - bathing the icon with panneer, paal, sandal paste, coconut water, panchamritam and take them home as prasad. Every visitor takes home invariably panchamritam, a speciality here. There are several types of Prayer Services to the deity. There are many mini - shrines and mandapams adorned with several gods, like Eswara, Parvathi etc.
