Say Sivalayam, there flashes then across your mind a Sivalangam, the object of adoration. Its size may vary and colour too differ, but lingakara remains constant. Rarely the icons of Lord Siva are installed. Only at a few places, the, archamurtis are seen in Ardhanareeswara or Nataraja form, but to see him in the form of male genital is unique. This is what one experiences in the temple at Gudimallam, situated at a distance of 18 km from Tirupathi, the premier temple town of interplanetary eminence. APSRTC buses plying from Triupathi or Kalahasti take the bhatas at all times to this unique shrine.
