Seeing
the emergence of new faith and visitation by far-off devotees. Lady
Martin proposed and convinced her spouse to undertake renovation and
expansion of the old small temple. Not lagging behind in piety, nor
niggardly in spending, he spent huge sums on temple expansion
project - greater space, bigger Sivalinga, stranger traditions lured
bhaktakoti, and their frequency of visits converted a small
insignificant shrine into a largely visited hallowed temple of
eternal attraction. All were going home with beaming faces on
fulfillment of their desires. No complaint of deserted hopes, nor
continuance of mental anguish after worship was heard.
The
temple, in fact, bears an eloquent testimony of Lord's boundless
compassion for the trusted, genuine bhaktas. The British couple
merit unqualified praise for turning a new leaf in the history of
that temple. And it is one of the most visit-worthy Hindu shrines in
Agra opening the eyes of Nasthiks to reform themselves and retract
from the path they ache to follow. Alas! they do not; for, they are
highly learned men boasting of their superior wisdom. "May God
save them!" falls from the lips of tolerant theists at their
sight.
