BADARINATH
The Himalayan abode of Sri Maha Vishnu

At Rishikesh, private and Government buses are available at all hours, but one has to make nearly one full day's journey to reach the feet of the Lord, provided misfortune does not stand in the form of landslides on the way. The bus route touches many holy places, claiming their association with celebrated personages, or possessing spiritual wealth in the form of temples, worthy of visitation.

Normally pilgrims go via Rishikesh, Devprayag, Srinagar, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, Nandaprayag, Joshimath, Vishnuprayag, Pandukeshwar, Hanuman Chatti and finally Badarinath.
