Harisena's eulogy on king Samudra Gupta. Next to it lies a large pillared hall
with exquisite paintings on walls and ceilings. Another visit-worthy place
within the ramparts of the fort is the Patalpuri temple. It is considered to be
the oldest and said to have been visited by Rama during his visit to Bharadwaja
Asram.

Azad Park Amidist the imposing modem sky high buildings, this lovely park
appears like an oasis of greenery. Its original name was prince Alfred Park,
built to commemorate his visit. The patriotic citizens, later named it
Chandrasekhar Azad Park, as a tribute to a great son of India, who gave up his
life for the freedom of land: This Park also houses the far-famed Allahabad
Museum, boasting of possessing innumerable art treasures, including the
paintings of Nicholas Roerich. It also displays many of the gifts received by
Premier Jawaharlal, the indubitable peace-lover of the world.
