Thus turned a
distributor, carrying and displaying my own wares to every one of their brood.
Ironical it is to hear, those blood suckers passing remark-- "The cost is
too high, buyers will be scared at the price". To my reply, I cannot reduce
due to printing of only 1000 copies, they answered" if so, supply only 10
copies each". Cursing the calamity thrust upon I supplied, supplied and
supplied, but neither cheque or DD ever greeted even after a couple of years.
When met, I heard, "All are idling on our racks, you can take them if
want." When showed readiness. "Come on your next visit, we
will."
The truth is
different. Though more than 50% of the supply was sold, they deliberately
resorted to this to dodge payment and to return the unsold copies. How then to
clear the ever growing interest on debts; or how to reduce the price of the
copy, printed on 1/8 demy size, with laminated wrapper, plus nearly 40 plates,
running to 160 pp on the average none can answer.
