The founded
religions derive their authority from the words of their founders. These words are
collected together as a sacred or Holy Book, which is the Scripture or the Testament of
the respective religions.
The Holy Koran, the Holy Bible, the Tripitaka are
examples. Each of these holy books is the source book of a particular religion.
What is the source book or scripture of our religion? The Vedas are the
scripture of our religion. They ex press eternal Truths, which govern the universe and the
conduct of men. They are absolutely authoritative.
Frequently, when challenging the statement of a person, it is asked in Tamil What?
Is his statement a Veda-vaak? signifying that Veda
vaak, a Vedic statement is inherently
true.
There are two main sects among the Christians, the Catholics and the Protestants.
