HARAPPA is the
name of the site that lies between Lahore and Multan.
Mohenjo-daro is another site lying in the Larkhana district of Sind.
Both are now in Pakistan.
They are about 300 miles apart; yet are on the region of the Indus river.
Excavation made at these sites reveal a common civilization.
The remains who a great civilization that prospered in that region 5000 years ago.
Mohenjo-daro was discovered as late as 1922.
Mohenjo-daro means the city of the dead.
It is covered by mounds 20 to 70 feet high. |
