HYMN TO THE EARTH |
|
With all things
gracious bless thou us.
All sylvan beasts of thine that love the woodlands,
man-eaters, forest-haunting lions, tigers,
Hyena, wolf, misfortune, evil spirit,
Drive from us, chase the demons to a distance.
Mild, gracious, sweetly odorous, milky, with nectar in her breast,
May Earth, may Prithvi, bestow her benison, with milk on me. |
