SUNDARAR |

| While on a
visit to Tiruvottiyur, Sundarar met a peasant girl named Sangiliyar at the temple. She
wove garlands out of flowers and adorned the Lord with them. She had been refusing to get married. Knowing this Sundarar prayed to the Lord to help him. The Lord appeared in the girl's dream and asked her to marry Sundarar. The two married. For some time Sundarar lived with her at Tiruvottiyur. Sundarar later on went to Tiruvarur to attend the Lord's festival. On the way, however, he lost his power of sight. He prayed to the Lord and the Lord restored his eyesight. |
