| As per the above
Puranic narration, Lord Narasimha i'; said to be existent even prior to the manifestation
of the river Godavari itself. So many of the Puranic Kundas is now only traditionally
recognized in the riverbed which is full of rocks. There is a small stream called Bhadra
falling into the river Godavari. It is said in the above - quoted Purana that it was the
emblem of a lady who once! Performed penance in order to marry Lord Vishnu, and finally
took this shape to remain forever by the side of Lord Nara simba swami. Many other such
spots in the river are attributed to many tales of the Puranas.The Kalyanotsavam festival
of this temple is celebrated in the Phalguna month when thousands of pilgrims visit this
place and witness the festival. |
