SIMHACHALAM |
|
The king woke up
from his Samadhi, searched the anthill and renovated the temple and consecrated the
worship also. But in spite of his best efforts, he could not find the Lord's feet to
worship. Then an Akasvani spoke out to the king, that the Lord's feet will not be visible
to any of them, and that they are hidden in earth, as the mere sight of the Lord will
attain salvation. Lord Narasimhaswamy should not be seen always in his pristine form, but
only as covered with sandal paste, except for one day of the year, namely the Akshaya
Tritiya day, when a mere sight of the Lord in his pristine form will bestow salvation. |
