SIMHACHALAM |
|
Urvashi, who was a
divine Apsara, then recalled her past, and informed Pururavas that she had come to the
Simhadri hill previously when Lord Narayana took on the aspect of Narasimha in order to
save Prahlada. She therefore suggested that the Lord whose temple had by then fallen into
decay and disuse, must be lying hidden somewhere, and that if they renovated and
worshipped the Lord, they would be rendering a lot of service to the people. Urvashi and Pururavas thereupon went in search of the Lord and found the
Gangadhara rivulet flowing west, in a pleasant garden full of delightful trees. They were
so much enchanted by the natural beauty, that they got into the river and refreshed
themselves in it. |
