BILASPUR

Villages of Sanog, Buila and Deothal, all situated in the Arki tahsil, were also, it is said, visited by them and there are temples still extant. It is believed that on the Bari hill is the statue of Yudhishthira, in village Sanog that of Arjuna, in village Buila that of Nakula and in village Deothal that of Sahdev. Bhim Sen, out of some anger, went away after, it is said slapping the deity in a fit of rage deforming her face.

Her statue exists in the temple at the crest too. Puja is held daily and thousands of people visit these places at the top of Bari hill, attended by people coming from far-flung areas especially from Bilaspur, Arki, Dhami, Kuthar and Hindur. Songs are sung in the praise of the deities and offerings are also made. Idols from villages Sanog, Buila and Deothal are brought in the litter proceeded by local band consisting of drums and other instruments like harsingha and conch.

On arrival on the hill the idols are placed in the temple where the four brothers are regarded to be meeting. Several goats are slaughtered. By the evening, deities repair to their respective places. A fair commemorates Bheanoo Pir, a Pit about who very little is known over two days at Guddo village. There is a collection of about 1,000 persons, The Pirsthan is usually resorted to for preventing cattle diseases.
