KALADI - THE BIRTH PLACE OF ADI SANKARA

Kaladi is "a pre-eminent center for inspiration on the banks of the Purna River that purified every man in thought, word and deed," said the Sankaracharyas in a joint message:

"A visit to Kaladi increases tranquillity, self-restraint and other eminent virtues of those engaged in the Pursuit of knowledge. It is the duty of every common Man to visit the holy Kaladi, the birthplace of Adi Sankara, and more so any aspirant for liberation, the Sanyasi and those that follow the Advaita school of thought."
