After
performing the last rites for his mother, Sankara again resumed his spiritual mission. He
is believed to have reached Kedar in the Himalayas and disappeared at the age of 32, after
giving final instructions and benediction to his beloved disciples.
This in brief is the outline of a great and eventful life "And" in the words of
Swami Ranganathananda "a sustained struggle of a lifetime brings to India a measure
of unity, harmony, and order in religion, thought and culture which is a record
