It is situated five miles away from Siva ganga on the railway line from Karaikudi to Rameswaram. There are numerous Teerthams here namely Sivaganga, Kali Teertham, Vishnu Teertham, Lakshmi Teertham, Digpalaka Teerthams, Sudarsana. Teertham, Rudra Teertham and Chandra Pushkarani.

Many eminent sages and pious people of the past have visited this place. 'The legend goes to show that Sage Agastya came to this place and took bath in the
holy Teertham of Sivaganga.
