| The Lord
expressed His wish to the devas. They did not welcome the idea as they wished that the
Devi should remain a virgin in order to retain her Sakti to put down the demons. But none
had the courage to oppose the wish of the God of the Suchindram temple. However, Narada
was invoked to meet the situation. He did it in his own way. The God of Suchindram was
requested to present Himself on a fixed day, for the marriage, with rare gifts such as
coconuts with no eyes, mangoes without nuts, betels without veins, and the like. The God,
some-how, managed to secure all these. |
