Neelayatakshi's idol in the temple here is said to heave has been brought from the region
of the Nile River in Egypt. It is also said that there is some Hindu a temple still in
Arabia, which goes to show that Hinduism prevailed in ancient times in Arabia and North
Africa.
The Lord here is called Kayarohanaswami, because he gave Moksha to Saint Pundareeka in his
bodily state. Here is a metallic idol of Vinayaka with five heads, one at the top and four
on the four sides. This Ganapati has a lion for his vahana. There are paintings of
Urdhwatandava of Lord Nataraja posed against Sivakami in the dancing form on the opposite
