Choosing
the shade of a big tree, said Balarama stifling a big yawn
"It's better, one to keep vigil over the others during sleeping
And done by turns, safety to the sacred persons would be ensured".
Welcoming the suggestion, Satyaki took up the first round-guarding
Environs exduded a fare charm, as Krishna lay on the lap of Nature
Laying his tired body beside him, the elder soon slipped into sleep
Reacting to sharp sounds, Satyaki prowled like a prudent guard
And noted changes occurring every where including the starless sky.
In the mid-night, he espied an object silhoutted against a tree
And lo! it's moving right in front, directly against him very fast
Standing above the sleeping two, he surveyed the approaching object
Chill passed his spine-he found it a demon of unusual dimensions
Its dishevelled hair; grisly visage, protruding teeth added horror
And like a Colossus walked in great strides hundred yards between Apprehending
danger, Satyaki stood across anon looking daggers
Confrontation began with flaming looks and terrifying gestures.
