Her enchanting face beautified by two broad lotus eyes diffusing nectarine
lusture enhanced the grandeur of her jaganmohanarupa, adorned with dazzling
decked jewels and rustling silks. Seeing her Lord emaciated due to long penance,
she approached and embraced him, signifying her satisfaction of his arduous
penance and her readiness to get united with him.
Then heard the dulcet notes of Dhundhubhi played by celestials in token of
their boundless joy over their reunion. As she came out of padmasarovar. She was
appropriately called Padmavathi. And she chose to take her seat here
permanently. The Lord agreed. So the place is called Padmavathi Puram since
then. The very same time dug by Sri Mahavishnu Vishnu is now
called Pushkarani
and Surya Bhagavan Temple is Surya Narayana Swamy Aalayam. Hence the craze for
darsan.
