H.H. Sri Jayendra Saraswati Swanny of Kanchi
Kamakoti Peetha pleased with the activities, moreover discerning the divinity
pervading the temple campus, donated the images of Idumban, Mayura, Balipeetha,
in addition to laying the foundation for the flight of stairs from the bazaar.
His adoration was worthy of mention, and it drew large members. He narrated many
sports of Subrahmanya and concluded that this temple built on the Indrakiladri
can be counted as a great kshetra, equal to those of six abodes of Muruga extant
in Tamil Nadu. Eminent god men like Sri Tiruvalam Sivananda Swamy, Sri Poori
Swamy, Sri Ratnagiri Swamy and Kripananda Varriyar visited and worshipped with
unparalleled ardour, that heightened the glory of the Lord.
As
the miracles of the Lord started manifesting in solemnisation of delayed
marriages and broken alliances, restoration of health to the victims of chronic
diseases, settlement of long standing disputes, birth of children to the barren
women, so on and so forth, this small but sacred shrine scattered its divine
aroma to the four corners of the world and attracted global attention.
Beneficiaries of Subrahmanya aaradhakas contributed their mite in several forms,
and so it has been slowly and steadily rising to the pinnacle of glory with
celebration of special and regular festivals, like Devasena Kalyanotsav. Valli
Kalyanam, Adikirthika, Kavadi festival, Subbarayala ,Shasti, Taipusam, Panguni
Uttaram, Padi Utsav, Skanda Shasti, Krithika Decpotsav etc.
