These festival days
see the devotees overflowing the campus and lustily participating in many
rituals and what is more spending lavishly too. And feasting their eyes, ears
and souls with colourful decorations, melodious kirthanas and experiencing an
elevating experience. The hill then metamorphoses into Kailas and comes on par
with Palani, the renowned Muruga kshetra in TamilNadu. As
this is the principal temple for Muruga and particularly lying on the
Indrakiladri, its splendour is indescribable, glory inexplicable and bliss
incomprehensible.
All
the glory, sanctity and divinity ark due to the indefatigable ardour and
devotional fervour of Sri Iddhipalli Satyanarayana, who took over as the
hereditary Dharmakartha of the temple on the demise of his founder - Father
Iddipalli Guruvula Das on 16.6.1954. His able and efficient supervision and
management aided and abetted by several devotional people, as members and
counsellors of various committees has blessed the city with a grand shrine and
propagation of Subrahmanya cult. He is highly revered by one and all. Many
schemes, like Kalyana mandapam, Raja gopuram, Guest House and Lakshmi Ganapathi
Aalayam aiming at building of the amelioration of services to the devotional
community are afoot and they will materialize soon with the abundant grace of
the Lord, whose compassion is like the ocean is unfathomable, illimitable and
inexhaustible.
It
lies in One Town of Vijayawada and can be reached by auto, cycle rickshaw and
four wheelers from any part of the town.
