ANNAVARAM

As there are many choultries and guest houses built by Devasthanam and other philanthropits, there are adequate facilities and amenities for saying a day or two to performing several types of Sevas for redemption of vows. Attracted by the divinity pervading here, many bhaktas celebrate Vivahas, besides Upanayana, namakarana, Aksharasweekara, dattasweekar a functions. And their beliefs fortified by the trouble free future. Moreover, the temple authorities are striving to make it famous and popular by several commendable measures. Among the many ministrations, the Devasthanam Authorities are placing at the disposal of the public the Nitya Annadanam - the free meals scheme deserves reverent mention. It is implemented to benefit the visitors coming from far off places. Nearly 1000 are fed free everyday. The Devasthanam is maintaining a Sanskrit High School and Junior Colleges, besides a dispensary for the convenience of the nearby public and visiting devotees. It is also running a bus for the convenience of the visitors that transports them from temple to Railway Station, and back. It is connecting almost all trains by operating several times. And the distance is hardly three miles. Nearness to Railway Station and the grand Northern Trunk Road is another factor for its ever growing popularity and rapid dissemination of religious sanctity. Endowed with such enviable and desirable plus points, it is granting spiritual solace to the seekers, and as interpreted ingeniously by a wit, it is conferring the desired boon. Anna Varam means a place granting food and it also means annavaram or Korinavaram in Telugu.
