Thirdly,
this place has the special honour of standing as the western tip of
the Trilinga desa from which Telugu language is derived.
Additionally, the town lies at the meeting place of three states
Andhra, Madhya Pradesh and Maharastra. It is also here five rivers
mingle and hence goes by the name of the Panchanadisangamasthana.
Finally, there is a belief that Sri Rama visited this kshetra during
the Vanavasa. Blessed with such rarities and eulogised in
Skandapurana, this place has become a famous pilgrim centre and is
drawing thousands of pilgrims and tourists throughout the year.
