LORD KRISHNA OF TRICHAMBRAM

HOW A MUSLIM WAS HUMBLED

Once a Muslim on buying hefty elephant desired to display him wealth and valour to the people living around the temple. He started riding it much against the objections of the people. And lo! with a great bang the temple doors were opened and an earsplitting roar was heard. The elephant's front legs were bent involuntarily, and it fell down throwing the Muslim off. Rising wise, he made amends by offering prayers to the Lord. These two event reinforce the belief that the archamurthi depicts that jubilation which overflowed him after Kamsasamhar.
