Comprehending the divinity of the soil and environs, he decided to install
one Sivalinga at Ettamanur and the other at Kaduthuruthi. As
planned, he did, and made the three places great Siva khsetras of
eternal spiritual significance. Later, he did penance again for
further boons - primary passion being that Lord Siva should be with
him for ever, or vice versa.
Would that Omni compassionate
Bhaktavashankar ever deny such devotion-soaked desire? He finds
pleasure in fulfilling any desire. Appearing before him, he said
Thadastu - be it so. He started enjoying playing with Khara, as and
when he desired and craved for company. Both regaled each other in
several kinds of sports, totally obvious of the surroundings.
It
pleased him most and the Lord best. One day assuming the form of a
deer, Khara invited the Lord to participate in `the chase and catch
game - one running at high speed, the other following to catch.
