JEJURI - KHANDOBA TEMPLE  

Introduction

We now witness the miracle of honey bees subduing a full armed, well trained, cold blooded brutal army, commanded by a religious bigot, whose savage intolerance to other religions has divested him of all honour, although his personal life was above comment. His attainments and actions despite conforming to tenets of his own religion, as a ruler his actions caused night mares to the Hindu subjects and consummated in disaster to the whole kingdom. His abominable hatred for Hinduism made him preside over the dissolution of a great empire. 

His daring military expeditious were not only detested and abhorred by humans, but found atrocous even to the winged insects, who successfully repelled his advance and forced him to take to heels after atoning the crime with payment of a huge sum. Strange it sounds, isn't it'? Winged insects driving out barbarous soldiers happen only, if the Almighty Providence directs. This happened at Jejuri in Maharashtra, to be precise at the famous Khandoba temple presided over by Lord Siva popular as Khandoba.
