MORGAON - MAYURESWAR TEMPLE  

Proceed now to Morgaon, a small township in Poona district of Maharashtra - the world-renowned yatrasthala for Ganeshopasakas in particular and theists in general. It is here enacted a similar divine drama wherein Lord Ganesh produced a spectacular miracle that taught the green-eyed monsters a fitting lesson and justified the epithet that He is asritapakshapathi - partial to his adorers. He is the main character and the Sultan of BIDAR was a minor, but significant character. 

Although believed the word of demons of jealousy about the misappropriation of state funds by his officer Moreshwar Gole, incharge of treasury, he decided to verify personally the truth of the hearsay and to his surprise, he found the treasury in tact. Another character is Moreshwar Gole, who was rescued by Lord Ganesh with his awe-some miracle. This is also recorded in the Government Gazette with dates and details.
