Another
Muslim beneficiary's episode is worth mentioning and it is at
Sirusangadla, lying in the Palamur district of Andhra Pradesh. Here
is a hill temple dedicated to Sri Rama, who staved according to
mythology for sometime during his exile. And a fantastic account of
Lakshmana's humbling a Grama devata is narrated with great
jubilation by the locals. The principal character is Sri Rama and
the beneficiary, a Muslim jagirdar whose ardent prayers blessed him
with a son for whom lie pined for long and prayed to many gods.
The
miracle of Rama's blessing the devotee with a child catapulted the
glory of this kshetra and since then its attraction for theists is
on increase. A short background of this kshetra helps for better
grasp of its divinity. So listen.
