VIJAYAWADA - MATA KANAKADURGA TEMPLE  

The time of action is only recent, and the actors are both invisible and visible.  Of the humans, the police officer of Vijayawada, who although abused his power and displayed rigid official superiority due to bloated ego emerged victorious on realisation of his folly at the alchemic touch of Mata Kanakadurga.  

He underwent such a transformation that he joined the devout bhaktas and made the celebrations far exceed in colour and light of the former times.  And the whole department entered the field to aid and abet him in all ways.  The mysterious hand of Mother appeared in its splendour and anointed the people with nectar, in addition to making the temple records glow with unusual resplendence.  Alas! the coloured glasses were screened from all such effulgence.  And they see only abs aridity in this.
