INTRODUCTION |

Next comes my daughter Kavitha, M.Com., whose indefatigable and invaluable assistance in several matters, like typing,
correcting, collating, translating etc , breathed life into this Except writing, she did all sans grumbling from start to finish. And
my son Kiran, as usual attend to mailing work They deserve Lord's munificent grace and I pray for it soulfully. I record with
infinite pleasure the cooperation extended by the personnel in charge of the local Regional Library, University Library.
Central Library, both for allowing my visits in and out of time, and supplying books to taking xerox copies of certain pages
and plates relevant. I acknowledge their magnanimity with folded hands.
Before laying down pen, I am constrained to reiterate that this is neither all inclusive, nor ultra - pervasive of all the
Vaishnavate temples, but I submit with all humility that I made an honest attempt to include almost all those famous, popular,
largely visited ancient temples, where from the Divine Voice is being heard ever since the lofty towers have pierced into sky,
and the archamurtis still entering into dialogue with devout devotees through demonstration of miracles of infinite variety.
And lo' they are rewarding the pious, lifting the afflicted and succoring every assistance needed, if the dunkarthis wash their
sins with tears of regrets and turn new pages in their lives with steadfast faith in that Almighty Providence.
Finally comes the expression of my indebtedness to the authors of several books in as many as four languages like English,
Telugu, Kannada and Tamil for supplying the source materials and abetting the oral accounts I gathered from the priests
and sthalagnas on my visits to the temples Though my indebtedness is beyond redemption, I offer now my obeisance whole
heartedly. Can I afford to forget the brothers duo Mr. D. Kumar and D. Babu, the proprietors of Print Point Graphics. Adyar,
Madras for their extra - ordinary patience and praise - worthy cooperation in attending to the Laser composing to my
satisfaction I invoke Lord Balaji for a liberal shower of grace to fulfilling their ambition noble and ideal commendable.
Awaiting the readers' reaction, I close this long tedious foreword with a sweet Bye.
Eternally Thine.
