RABINDRANATH TAGORE

His English friends, one of whom was a great artist and another a great poet, liked them so much that they got it printed and sent to the Nobel Prize Committee in Switzerland, which later selected the book for its award.

Wherever he went, he was warmly received and praised. He staged some of his plays in those countries.

This resulted in the Santiniketan near Calcutta which is now well-known all over the world.Presently, it is known as the Viswabharati. Students from different parts of the world come here and study many subjects.Great teachers from other countries teach or guide the students.
